Have you ever thought of getting into kiteboarding? You are seeing the pros ride around you and you would like to give it a try? You definitely should, it will be the best decision of your life! There is nothing better than kiteboarding. Here are more details about how to get into the sport!

The first thing you should do to get into kiteboarding is to take some lessons. Some people will try to learn on their own, and I really don’t recommend it as it will probably end up with you being dragged by your kite on the beach, which you won’t like at all. To avoid accidents and to make sure you are a safe independent kiteboarder, take lessons until your instructor tells you that you are ready to go out on your own. When you will be close to being an independent rider, you will need to get your own gear. You should discuss with your instructors on what would be the best gear for you. Which type of kite, board, harness, etc. Once you are independent and you have your own gear, you are ready to go out on your own on some supervised sessions. Supervised sessions will allow you to get more experience and to build your confidence in a safe environment. After a couple of theses, you should be ready to go out on your own safely!

Here are a few tricks for you to remember when taking your lessons!

Kiteboarding 101 trick #1: Everyone learns at their own pace! Some people will get up on the board on the first try, and some people will take 3 lessons before they can do it. Don’t get discouraged, and keep on trying it. You will get it for sure, and it will be the best feeling in the world!

Kiteboarding 101 trick #2: Learn how to have good control over your kite. Kiteboarding is 90% kite and 10% board. If you take the time to understand well how the kite works, it will make your life a whole lot easier.

Kiteboarding 101 trick #3: Have fun! It is the most important thing!
