Your kitesurfing harness is what attaches you to your kite.
There is a hook located on the front of every harness, the chicken loop from your bar and lines is hooked onto this point and secured with a donkey dick. If for any reason you get into trouble, attached to both your kite and your kitesurfing harness is a safety leash. This allows you to safely de-power your kite without losing your gear completely.
Kitesurfing harnesses come in two different forms. Seat harness or a waist harness.
Most people prefer waist harnesses as they are less restricting and more comfortable. But both are great and it is really up to personal preference.
